Full Time Senior Staff Accountant

(Orillia Office)

·         Point person on client files for year-end completions as well as monthly and quarterly compilations

·         Work on T2 Returns

·         Oversee scheduling of Work in Progress files

·         Assist staff with client compilations including reconciliations, working paper completions

·         Work and completion of T1 Personal Income Tax Returns

·         Assist with client communications and file maintenance

·         Work with clients on business and tax analysis as well as budgeting and other consultations

 

Skills:

·         Excellent accounting knowledge and skills

·         Excellent reconciliation and problem solving skills

·         Excellent skills with MS Office and other related software

·         Good knowledge of various computerized accounting programs

·         Excellent communications and people skills

·         A well organized individual

 

The candidate would be a post secondary graduate in a related field and would be progressing toward or receiving their CPA designation.

Full Time Client Accounting Assistant

(Primarily Cannington office with some work at Orillia office)


Responsibilities:

·    Maintain computerized accounting records for clients (SAGE 50 & Quickbooks and other accounting software).

o   Regular accounting entries

o   Bank reconciliations

o   Other GL Account reconciliations

o   Payroll processing and related reporting

o   Periodic and annual working paper preparation

o   HST, WSIB, and other regular reporting

·         Regular interactions with clients

·         Intermediate involvement with personal income tax returns

·         Office AR maintenance duties

·         Office client and related file maintenance

·         Communication with CRA and other regulatory agencies on behalf of clients

 

Skills:

·         Good familiarity with SAGE 50 and Quickbooks

·         Strong bookkeeping knowledge

·         Strong account reconciliation ability

·         Strong MS Office skills

·         Familiarity with computerized T1 software

·         Strong organization skills

·         Good communication skills (verbal and written)

·         Self starter and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Hours:

·         Monday to Friday 9-5

·         Extra hours during months of March and April (tax season)

 

Work in this position may take place at our Cannington and Orillia offices on a rotating basis.  Training on specific software and systems will be provided to enhance existing skills.  Compensation will be determined upon evaluation of existing skillset vs. requirements.
